Wow I'm *finally* back from vacation and getting back into the swing of things!  I've got a ton of images to show off from our trip but I just had to get this family session blogged.  I met up with the first of two Staudinger families that I am going to be shooting in the next few weeks.  This was such a great family session - from playing in the park to throwing rocks in the pond we had a great night hanging out.  I hope you enjoy the images - there's lots more where these came from!

XOXO

Well this might be the most important post I've done to date.  This wedding was so special to me - as it was my brother marrying the most perfect girl for him. They are by far two of the most beautiful people to photograph - Jenn was a stunning bride, and well my brother he was as handsome as ever. I was honored that they asked me to stand for them - and was delighted that they chose Dave and Quin from DQ Studios to photograph the most important day of their lives.  Many of you that read my blog know how special Dave and Quin are to me.  It is because of them that I am following my dream and becoming a photographer.  They have been so amazing to me - more than words can ever describe.  Even on this day they were great - allowing me to be their shadow with my camera and encouraging me the whole day to shoot my heart out.  These are some of the images that I was able to create because of them.

And with that I'll leave you with a bit of my speech to let you know just how important the two of them are to me:

...Since then Jenn's been with our family through a lot.  She travelled with us to Newfoundland to visit our family in both good times and bad, she's moved up to Fort McMurray to give both of them a good head start in their life together, and through all of that she has become my closest friend.  Many of you probably find that surprising as I had a tendency to try to sabotage all of Chris's previous relationships.  None of the others ever felt good enough, they were all either too tall, too small, or as the rumour goes had a lazy eye and a peg for a leg.  But Jenn is different - she encompasses everything that is perfect for my brother - she is beautiful, smart, compassionate, and most of all she loves my brother with every ounce of her heart.  She is someone that I wish my mom had the chance to meet - because I know she would have loved her as much as we do.

My brother will certainly take care of Jenn; his caring nature will undoubtedly show in their relationship. I cannot stress enough how many times this quality has applied in our childhood. He has been my brother and most importantly my friend. I must say Jen is among the luckiest women in the world.

Jenn: Please take care of my brother in the way that I know only you can.

In marriage the "little" things are the big things.
It is never being too old to hold hands.
It is remembering to say, "I love you" at least once a day.
It is never going to sleep angry.
It is having a mutual sense of values, and common objectives.
It is standing together and facing the world.
It is forming a circle that gathers in the whole family.
It is speaking words of appreciation, and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways.
It is having the capacity to forgive and forget.
It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow.
It is a common search for the good and the beautiful.
It is not only marrying the right person -- it is being the right partner.

And the most important of all -  always share your dessert with him - even when you don't want to!

Thank you for coming into our lives and changing us for the better - Today I don't just gain a sister in law - I truly believe I am gaining a sister.

...Christopher:  Know that today mom has been with you every step of the way - and that she is so proud of you.  You were always her baby boy - and today you stand here the man she always knew you would become.  Words cannot express how honored and proud I am to be standing up here as your sister today.   You have been there for me through our darkest times - and it is because of you that we weathered through them.  All of my best childhood memories involve you.  You will never know how important you are to me.

XOXO

Edit:

I wanted to add a few more photos for Naomi and Blair to tie the over until I get back from vacation next month.  These two really rocked their session - I am so pleased with their images!

This session seemed like it would never get a chance to happen!  After having to re-schedule several times due to our latest bit of unpredictable weather I finally got to get together with Naomi & Blair for their engagement session tonight.  Naomi & Blair are getting married next August in St.John's and couldn't be happier.  They were up for anything I could throw at them - even staying still while swarms of mosquitoes swarmed all around them.  Here's a little taste of the awesome images I was able to get of them.

XOXO
